Arboretum Field Trip

We took another amazing field trip with the kids school to JC Raulston Arboretum!  They have just started a unit on plants.  As part of the unit they had a horticulturist visit the classroom, they are designing and planting their own garden in their playground, they have multiple science experiments going on in the classroom and they took a trip to the arboretum to learn a little more about plants they do not usually see and hear about at school or home.  The kids loved being outside in the nice weather, using their five senses to observe the gardens and make sock plants (think chia pet)!
