20 Months

Anna Banana is quite a little firecracker.  We love her charisma, adore her sweet hugs and kisses and crack up at all her little words and phrases.

 

She knows what she wants and she is not afraid to ask AGAIN and AGAIN if necessary. Whether it be a cookie (coo-coo), a trip down the water slide or us reading a story for the twentieth time in a row - she gets it all.  Perhaps a bit spoiled...

 

Anna loves all the extra time we have been spending at the pool. She gets around well in her ring and is not afraid to get splashed, jump in or go down the slide.  Anything that has to do with water makes her day - washing hands, running through the sprinkler, playing in the rains, having the kids turn the hose on her...it is all good!  

She loves to hand us a book and back her rear into our laps.  Currently her favorite books are Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb, Ten Apples Up On Top, and Duck and Goose.  She sings to me for most of our daily walks.  He favorite songs are ABC, Old McDonald, and Twinkle Little Star.

I certainly hope this relationship continues to grow and flourish.

The Last Supper

This time each year, we must say our good-byes to Mimi and Pop Pop as they head to Maine until October (with the exception of our family trip tot he beach later this summer).

Mimi and Pop Pop graciously agreed to meet up at the pool and watch the kids show off all their favorite tricks and friends.  

Then we headed home for some cozy time on the couch reading new books that Mimi and Pop Pop brought back from Alaska before a yummy dinner.

Anna insisted that her favorite book Hand, Hand, Fingers, Thumb be read to her by both Mimi and Pop Pop. 

Our kids are so lucky to have such wonderful, caring, supportive grandparents who live so close (most of the year).

Lovin' Our Cousin

We had a short, but super fun, visit with Emma and Aunt Liz this weekend. As soon as they arrived, not a moment was wasted...if the kids were not playing together in the playroom, we were at the pool, doing projects or picnicing by the lake!

We found a little green caterpillar near our front porch which turned into an afternoon of exploration, home making and food gathering for our mini friend for a day.
