Alexander - Six Months

Our little man is six months old.  Alex is 26.8in (55%) and 16lb (21%).  He is such a fun, easy going little guy.  Loves background noise, cries when he hears Anna cry, squeals whenever he is naked and smiles at everyone!  His little giggles and belly laugh makes us all smile. Kate, Max and Anna fill his heart with so much joy and happiness with all their games, songs, silly faces, hugs and kisses. He loves his toe-toes.  He unties his shoes (even when they have knots) and pulls off his socks. He likes all his toys more with each day. He especially loves his Sophie the Giraffe from Grandma Mary.  He likes sitting up in the walker, chair, and jump-n-go. He is also just as happy to play on the floor and practice rolling over. Rice cereal has gone over very well! Our little boy could not be more loved!

Arctic Learning Experience

Anna, Alex and I got to help Kate and Max wrap up their arctic animals unit with a learning experience.  The kids had a packed hour of games, science experiment, craft, snack time creation, and half-birthday celebration for Ms. Connor.  Such a fun way to end the week and unit!

A Successful Milestone

Alexander started solids today.  He was not so sure about the bib part but the rice cereal was a hit. He opened up and swallowed the first spoonful without a blink.  Then the second spoonful he took charge of the spoon! Thank you Mimi for Alexander's very special cherry spoon!

Down the Slide

Max, Anna and Kate (in no specific order, but Max will tell you who went first) could not wait to be the FIRST to take Alex down the slide for the first time.  Alex looks a little concerned (and probably had good reason) but I promise he had a big grin when he got to the bottom each time.

Go.Heels.Go!!!

Max went to his very first UNC basketball game at Kenan Stadium with his super awesome Daddio! Peter said Max cheered, danced, sang, and high-fived the ushers the entire game!

Tea With Daddy

For our Christmas present to the kids, we gave them each a special day with Daddy.  Kate's special event was Afternoon Tea at the Carolina Inn.  She was sooo excited all week and practically dancing on the ceiling the day of the special event!

While at the Doctor...

...Alex decided he would roll over from back-to-front for the first time!

Cookie Cutter Pizza

We discovered we can get pizza dough at the grocery.  So we have been having a lot of fun making pizzas.  Our favorite pizzas have a pesto base topped with cheese and a few pepperonis.  We added a little twist - each kiddo got to choose a cookie cutter and had their own ball of dough to work with.  SO. MUCH. FUN!  Who Knew?!?!

PlayNation Play Date

Insulin Pump

We have added one more tool to help with Anna's diabetes management - an insulin pump! Woohoo! She picked out this little case that she loves (aka fanny pack designed for an insulin pump).  The transition has been smooth so far and we are so excited about the potential benefits.
