Mimi & Pop Pop Visit

Mimi and Pop Pop surprised came for a short visit to see Max play baseball, babysit while Peter and I went on a date night and play at Harris Lake County Park!
Max had another awesome game.  This one was a Friday night game (love that!). All the siblings played together in the batting cage while the game was going on.  Max hit a ball so hard he popped the stitches- Ha!!!
We got going Saturday morning and decided on a picnic a fishing at Harris Lake County Park.  Everyone has their own fishing poles (Thank you Uncle Matt, Mimi and Pop Pop).  Anna was the only one to catch a fish but everyone loved practicing casting and reeling-in their lines over and over again!

Baseball Ready

Max had his first game of the season this weekend!  He played first and third base and had two awesome hits. He loves his team - The Tornadoes - some old buddies, a few new buddies, and the same wonderful coach! It is going to be a good season!

Three Cheers For...

Grandma Mary and Papa D!!!
My parents graciously offered to join us in Paris to make sure we had a successful family trip!  They truly filled in all the little gaps that made our trip smooth, easy and truly magnificent - from collecting our luggage in Paris, taking Alex back to the apartment each day for his nap, hanging out with the kids at night so we could have date nights, finding us mid-day so we could all play and going with the flow the rest of the time. We got to do absolutely everything we wanted and more!
Thank you Mom and Dad!

Happy Easter

Happy Easter Everyone!
Mr. EB created quite a flurry around our house this morning....baskets were missing, Kate's autograph book signed, jellybean poop in the shower, a scavenger hunt, egg hunt, and baskets in the backyard got us all going bright and early.

The rest of the day was quiet - listening to new books on CD, doing projects, playing outside, yard work, popsicles and a yummy family feast prepared by Daddio!

Paris - Day 6

Our final day in Paris was as marvelous as the first five.  Peter and Max enjoyed the morning together having breakfast, visiting the Musee de Armee, and feasting on crepes for lunch.

The rest of us, took a double-decker bus tour of Paris, did a little shopping and enjoyed hot chocolate and expresso in a sweet little cafe.

In the afternoon, we all decided that we needed to go on the ferris wheel to see the city from above one last time and then let loose at the little park in the Tuilleries that we loved so much!

We truly enjoyed every minute of this amazing adventure.  From the food to the sites, the entire week was filled with precious memories that we will all cherish for a lifetime! Au Revoir Paris!
