Birthday Bonus

Anna was so excited to have us come in to her classroom and share donuts with her friends to celebrate her birthday.  They each made her a card and the teacher bound it together as a book and she took it to bed and slept with it all night!

Community Helper Day

Alex's class has been discussing community helpers.  They had the opportunity to dress up as a community helper they would like to be one day...

Cafeteria Fun

Alex and I decided to surprise Kate and Max for lunch at school. Alex totally worked the cafeteria - stopping by all of Kate's friends' tables to give hugs to all the girls he knew. He ate half his lunch and shared cookies with Kate.  Then he moved over to Max's table and shared a cake pop!

Anna's Farm Birthday

Anna turned 7 today!
She wanted an animal themed party this year.  The more animals the better she said! Thanks to Old Mill Farm and Dr. Amanda McKee her dream birthday came true!
We played with chickens, a pig, bunnies, goats, cows, horses, sheep and a dog.  We had lots of time to hold, pet, chase, feed, and groom all of these animals. We learned how to do a physical examination, listen to the heart and tummy sounds and give a vaccination. I mean WOW!

Liz, Mary Ellen and I made a bunch a little animals for the kids to "adopt".  They made homes, filled with bedding, filled out adoption papers and fed them.

Cupcakes
An absolutely AMAZING afternoon on the farm!

JDRF Walk

Anna's Army successfully completed our second JDRF walk in Raleigh this weekend!
We were joined by Grandma Mary, Papa D., Abigail, Ms. Caitlin and the Kimball family. The kids had a blast creating our team shirts and our friend Larry Butterton at Shirttails took a special interest in making them for our family.  We walked, strutted our stuff, had a picnic lunch, danced and played hard!

Pumpkin Carving

We added pumpkin carving to our cousin time this weekend.  I am so glad we did because Uncle Brandon is a master at cleaning out the insides of pumpkins - who knew?!?! The kids all had their own vision of what they wanted and we worked for hours with great success!
