Pie the Coach

The swim team organized a food drive for the local food pantry.  In exchange for items donated the kids got to put their name in a drawing to pie one of the coaches.  Well, we got a lot of donations and the coaches and kids had a blast!  Anna's name was drawn and she was a little nervous at first but I think it is safe to say she REALLY got into it!

Swim Meet

Another Tuesday swim meet for the books!  Kate, Max and Anna swam hard and had a blast doing it (even in the rain)!
I love how Anna cheers on her teammates with all her might.
I love how Max seeks me out and gives me a little wave!
I love how Kate smiles the ENTIRE time she is racing.
I love how much these kiddos LOVE each other!

Together Again!

Oh, how we missed Kate and Max this week!  While we filled our days with lots of fun in the sun with friends and family, we still felt like something was missing. Alex struggled the most.  It was very interesting to watch the dynamics when we all got home... They all settled into the bonus room together with an audiobook - playing legos and games, having a tea party and doing craft projects - the rest of the day!

Camp Kanata: Kate

Kate had the most amazing time at Kanata!  They had so much fun in all the activities. the food sounded awesome.  The three activities she chose to do each morning included arts & crafts, archery, and cheer dance. They also spent time in the pool and in the lake each day. The "rest periods" were very special times when they read books, wrote letters and relaxed.  There were lots of fun little surprises throughout the week including a dance, silly skits, and the firetruck hose down! Her counselors said she was very helpful and always had a smile on her face and especially enjoyed her arts and crafts time. One thing she learned about herself this week was that "I am good at archery, I am organized and enjoy being helpful!"
Kate was overwhelmed by the loved she received from her friends and family this week.  Thank you to each of you for taking the time to send your sweet messages and pictures throughout the week!
