Valentine's Continues!

Thanks to our snow event last week all Valentine parties were rescheduled (thankfully) for this week! The kids picked out (from a narrowed selection) their own valentine, put everything together and signed each one on their own.

Valentine's Day Fun

This day was packed full of fun little surprises in addition to lots of playing, crafts, baking and swim lessons. A fabulous day filled with love (and sunshine)!
Peter is traveling for work this week and next week; however, he did not forget to leave special surprises for everyone to wake up to on Valentine's day! All his girls got flowers and Max got a special Star Wars book.
We delivered Valentine's throughout the neighborhood - Bird Feeders!
We build Olaf the Snowman!
I have no idea how this snow happens...
We finished off the day with a Valentine's PJ Party (with neighbor Emma) complete with pizza, mailboxes filled with heart cookies we made and Madagascar 3 (selected by Max since he was the only boy).
My little loves listening to Max tell them about Star Wars!
Happy Valentine's Day!!!
XOXO

Day 2 - Snow and ICE

Of course we were eager to get back outside after a night of snow and ice fall.  We looked like a cartoon when we went outside and stepped on the fresh snow drifts and all fell down!  Fortunately everyone was well padded from head to toe and thought is was hilarious.  Anna was a little less inclined to stand up after that and scooted on her tail or got dragged around on a sled the rest of the morning.  Kate collected icicles off everyones' mailbox.  Max, Casper and Victor collected extra large chunks of ice/snow in a sled. We spent the rest of the day either outside or drying our clothes and getting ready to go outside.

Very Hungry Caterpillar Party

We celebrated Max and Kate's 5th birthday at Arts Academy of Apex. We did a painting project incorporating Eric Carle's book and artistic style.  In between washes, cutting and pasting we had a book exchange, The Hungry Caterpillars favorite snacks, an amazing cake and a pinata.
SO. MUCH. FUN!
