Baby Visitor

Alexander and I were greeted at our door after our morning walk by a baby snake! Now, we like all things baby at our house with the exception of SNAKES!  Thanks to neighbor Carin who came over and pinned the snake down with a shovel while I took off his head with a screwdriver.

After School Activities

The kids each chose one activity they wanted to try for the fall session. So far, everyone seems exceptionally happy with their choice!
Gymnastics for Anna and Kate
The girls are loving the time to run, jump, twirl, swing, balance and flip all over the place.
Tennis for Max!
Since I played tennis through high school, I am a tad bit excited that Max wanted to give it a try and LOVED every minute!!!!

Emma's News!

Cousin Emma dropped by for a little lunch and play time.  Little did we know she had some BIG NEWS to share...Liz and Brandon are getting married!!!  We are all so excited.  Brandon is such a kind, caring, loving, guy and we are so thrilled he is going to be part of our families forever!
A little extra information: Brandon proposed to Liz on a trip to Niagra Falls. He proposed the idea of marriage/becoming a family to Emma at her favorite cupcake shop with a beautiful diamond necklace.  Two very lucky girls!

Fall + No School

We made an impromptu decision to invite a couple neighbors over to to celebrate the start of fall. We played, decorated cookies, made fall themed pictures, had a very orange lunch and rolled (and crawled) down the hill a few times to burn off any extra energy!

Hooray for Teacher Workdays!

Crabbing

Max was determined to go crabbing.  So the two of us had a little time together on the dock and actually caught 16 crabs! Max was so excited he was dancing on the dock and screaming, "I caught crabs!"

Miss Ellie

Miss Ellie is a special treat for all of us!

Kayaking

Mimi and I got to sneak away for a couple of hours and kayak.  I can not begin to tell you how amazing it was.  It was early morning, low tide, no one was on the water, all was calm and the sea life was busy all under us. We saw hundreds of starfish, sea urchins, sand dollars, and crabs. We found a giant clamshell still hinged which we were determined to take back with us - which was a hilarious endeavor in and of itself! Thank you Mimi for our special adventure.

Searsport Shores Campgrounds

One of Mimi's favorite spots to take us is Searsport Shores Campground.  Everyone is so sweet to us. The kids played hard, fed the goats and sheep, picked carrots, climbed the rocks, combed the shores for treasures and stocked a tree full of acorns for one very lucky squirrel family.

Bubbles

Mimi got these awesome bubble wands and mixed up the hugest batch of bubbles I have ever seen. The bubbles were pretty incredible and quite addictive.
