Spring Performance

Anna's spring performance was adorable.  They signed the ABC's, sang I'm in the Lord's Army and If You Are Happy and You Know It. Then we got to walk around and see the kids' art displayed and take home our own cube covered in Anna's art! A special thank you to Anna's teachers for all the love and attention they give Anna!

Strawberry Pickin'

Cousin Emma was able to come for a little visit Sunday afternoon!  We took full advantage of the time we had and the sunny day and headed to the strawberry patch.  Of course we already knew the berries were awesome and loaded up our baskets. On the weekend, the play area is open, so we ran wild for a while! Awesome cousin time!

Economics Project

The kids are working on an economics unit.  At school they are talking about supply and demand and earning "money" in the classroom that they will be able to use on Market Day.  At Market Day, each student will bring a homemade product(x20) that they must market and sell to their classmates. Max came home the day the project was introduced with a poll he did on his own during the day to see what sports the kids in his class liked and had a plan to make a variety of "sport bookmarks". Mimi (to the rescue) added they needed to be laminated and a touch of sporty leather hanging off the top. Kate was determined to use pipe cleaners in some way. After much discussion - TIC-TAC-TOE was born! The kids made lists for the store and written proposals. Anna, Alex and I shopped for all our supplies. Max, Kate and Anna listened to several books on CD while they worked together to get their products finished! I am so proud of them and what an awesome project!

Little Wheels

Alexander is so happy to have his own set of wheels!

Kate's First Sleepover - Success!

Kate had her first sleepover birthday party at Zaida's house!  She was very excited and a little nervous. Before we left she said, "I feel like I have a butterfly in my tummy that had a lot of babies... but I am going to stick it out." We have known Zaida and her family since preschool and they live less than 2 miles from our house so I was confident this would be a success - sleepover or lateover - it was going to be fun! Sure enough, the party did not disappoint - food galore, movies, dance parties, hair chalk, manicures, scavenger hunt, new PJs... - SO. MUCH. FUN!

Ballet Basics

Anna and Kate's classes are gearing up for a final recital in June.  This week, parents got a sneak peak at their routines (costumes are top secret!).  As Anna says,"SO. STINKIN' CUTE!!!"

In Full Swing

Baseball season has just started this week.  Max moved up to the machine-pitch level with his buddies (and coach) from last year!  We were all a little nervous but Max did GREAT!  He is absolutely pumped about the season!

Birthday Bowling

Aunt Jenny and Uncle Andy gave Kate and Max a gift card to our nearby bowling alley and arcade.  So we made a fun family afternoon out of it! Thank you for our birthday gift!
