Even More Christmas

Grandma Mary and Papa D offered to make the trip up to Cary from Wilmington since we missed Christmas there.  The deal was sweetened by Grandma Mary's homemade marinara sauce with sausage and meatballs (Kate ate more than anyone else)!  The kids had so much fun playing with Grandma Mary and Papa D.

Anna was thrilled to have a reason for more tea parties with cookies.
Kate could not wait for more people to play her cupcake game and set up her critter house.

Max was holding a garbage truck lego set aside for when Papa D came to visit.  They also completed to more sets before the day was done.
Anna got a Bitty Baby by American Girl.  She was sooo excited!!!  Grandma was secretly (or not so secretly) doing a happy dance because she has been waiting for one of the grandchildren to get into American Girl.
Kate was super excited about the plush circus set.
Max was beyond thrilled to get more legos!
The kids seem to drop everything for a little story time.
Thank you for spending the day with us, extending our Christmas celebration and introducing the kids to the best marinara sauce ever!!!

More Christmas

Mimi, Pop Pop and Aunt Anita came Christmas Eve and Christmas Day for A LOT of food and a ton of play time!  The kids were spoiled with the most thoughtful gifts.  Pop Pop refinished a wooden cradle and Mimi made pillows and blankets for Anna's babbios.  Max was absolutely thrilled to get another lego set.  Kate went nuts when she opened the snow globe from the Nutcracker which she had just seen with Mimi and Pop Pop a couple weeks back. The most important gift they gave the kids was time to play together which they all embraced in their own ways - legos, tea parties, sewing projects and story time to mention a few.  We are so blessed to have this time together.

Christmas Morning!!!

Every moment, day and week that has led up to this morning I have cherished!!! I felt like we all embraced the season with so much fun, family, giving, sharing and creating. This morning was a grand culmination of it all with a lot of squealing and paper bits flying.

Max could not have been more excited about the lego land that was created in our kitchen. He got straight to work and did not stop until lunch.

Kate loved her new bunnies fiercely but the absolute hit of the day was a princess cupcake game she has been asking for since this summer.

Anna kept saying, "one more time" every time she finished opening a present.  The tea set and band-aids were the hit of the morning.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Merry Christmas

Wishing your family a wonderfully memorable day filled with
Love, Laughter and Joy!

Baking Fun!

While Anna and Daddy made the annual trip to Southern Season, the rest of us baked our hearts out and listened to Christmas music.  We made cupcakes, Christmas Crack, and Cookie Pops.
