Catching Up

A lot has happened in one week. Every time I try to post, someone does something so incredible, I start over. A few highlights:

-Max is now 13lb 11oz and 24.5in.
-Kate is now 12lb 11oz and 23.5 in.
-Both are teething based on the drool, gnawing on everything, and bursts of tears.
-Kate thinks it is funny to put her feet IN Max's mouth
-Max thinks it is funny to put both fists in his mouth at the same time
-Kate will talk to anything with ears, in particular her Curious George Monkey.
-Max's first word is "Uh, Oh" (seriously)
-Kate can show me how big she is when in her bumbo chair

Daddy's Day

I think Peter's first Father's Day was a success. The kids and I packed up early so we could get Peter's favorite Starbucks treats before he had to go in to work. Then we all piled in bed with cards in hand (Yes, the kids too) and waited for him to emerge from the shower! It was kind of funny! Peter did manage to get home by 12-noon and not get called back in so he got lots of time to play with Kate and Max. We even got time to have a picnic and watch a movie!

Four Month Pictures

Our wonderful friend Sarah did our four month pictures for us. She is so talented and I loved every single one that she took. Here are a few favorites.

A Few Special Moments

Every morning we eat and then I put them in bed together while I eat breakfast, make coffee, and get things rolling for the day. This is how I have found them on several occasions - all cuddled up together. Sometimes both are asleep or just one, it is just so sweet.

Kate is modeling her new dress from Lora and Cole

Max is working endlessly on blowing bubbles.

Max is completely exhausted from playing.

Ready for a picnic

Max loves his fingers so much he thought Kate should try.

A Few Little Updates

Kate is now 12lb 8oz and Max is 13lb 7oz!!! WOW, I cannot believe they are so huge. We are getting ready to transition into 3-6 month clothes. I think a week or two more in our 0-3 month clothes and it will be time to pack them up.

Kate is still the wild one. She demands a lot of one-on-one attention. She smiles with her whole face - she simply lights up! She enjoys playing on her belly and scooting forward. She has a two time limit per day for rolling over. Kate can talk nonstop, especially when her Dad is listening:

Max is calm and sweet. He is trying so hard to roll over. I think any day he will just surprise us all. He has a magnificent grin that spreads across his face. He LOVES his sister. He always reaches out to touch her. When we visited the doctor last week, he was very upset when the doctor was checking out Kate until the Doctor was able to tell Max that Kate was just fine...

We love naked time!
