Bee's Class

Alex met his new teachers, Ms. Gretchen and Ms. Amy, in his new classroom at Good Hope Preschool.  We saw so many familiar faces from last year, the pool, and our neighborhood.  Alex was especially excited about the new playground that he tested out for an hour!

Fresh Start

TODAY was the first day of school for Anna, Kate and Max!  They woke up on their own and were ready to go before their alarms went off!  They came home with more stories to share than hours in the day.
Max said, "I think Ms. Moskovikcs is going to be a good teacher for me!" He is thrilled with the friends in his class, being on the third level and having some autonomy!
Kate LOVES her teacher! Kate is so happy that Taya is is her class again this year, she is excited about music and learning to play the recorder and earning enough dojo points to get her homework assignments on Fridays (instead of Mondays).
Anna says Ms. Katzenberger is hilarious and so much fun! She is excited to be in class with Teagan B. and earning "warm fuzzies" for showing PRIDE.
It was so good to see the enthusiasm, confidence, and pride in themselves and their school come out with the first day of school.

Fridays on the Front Porch

Carolina Inn on Fridays is such a fun spot to meet up with friends and family, sips cool beverages :), listen to music and dance the night away! We had the BEST weather of the summer!

Spontaneous Fun

We took advantage of the good weather and everyone's availability to get together one last time as a whole group.  We started at a local park and had a picnic followed by a super fun night at the Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill for music and dancing! Such a fun last day and a tremendous effort by everyone to get together from Wilmington and Greensboro!

Museum of Life and Science

The kids also requested a trip to the Museum of Life and Science!  It was another super awesome day of exploration, experimentation and inquiry!  The butterfly release was an exceptional experience - Kate, Max, and Anna all held onto butterflies for a significant amount of time and they were truly some of the most magnificent and brilliant butterflies I have ever seen.
