JDRF One Walk

 We joined our grandparents and Uncle Matt (complete surprise) at the Eno River Saturday morning for our own JDRF One Walk.  My awesome friend, Laura Davis, helped Anna create our T-shirts including her own heart drawing.  Anna's Army raised just under $700 for JDRF and walked over 600 miles.

Fashion Show & Book Characters

 I love how the teachers creatively encourage the kids to dress for Halloween.  Alex's class is learning about adjectives, so they are dressing up for a "Fashion Show" in which they will describe the costumes. Anna's class is encouraged to dress up as a character they know from a book and present the character and book to the class. 

Student Of the Month

 Kate was chosen to be Student of the Month at Mills Park Middle School!

Finn is 3!

 We had a Dog Party for Finn!!! Finn's friends, Bauer, Kaya, Lily and Charlie all came over for a dog party.  They ran around with the kids in the backyard, had pupcakes and ran off with their toys.  Such a simple but memorable way to celebrate Finn!

Anna is 10

 It is hard to believe Anna May is double digits today!  Ten years ago, eight weeks of bedrest came to an end with the arrival of the most amazing little wonder! Today Anna is a bright, brave, passionate, charismatic, creative, outgoing, generous, caring, loving, independent, sweet girl.  She brightens everyones day with her brilliant smiles and creative energy.  She spends her days reading, creating, dreaming, and imagining all the things she CAN do with what is all around her.  Anna's heart is happiest when she is outdoors!

Anna, YOU bring so much joy to our family.  We love you to the moon and back forever and always.💕

Pumpkin Time

 We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and a day off in the middle of the week, to carve pumpkins.  The kids sketched their plans, then we attached the pieces in place with thumbtacks and traced.  Finally, they cut.  It was such a fun morning and they all turned out so great!
