What A Day!!!
Max and Kate woke up to a room FULL of balloons. This was an absolutely terrific way to watch them wake up and totally get into the spirit of their day. Peter and I decorated the kitchen to make it more festive
for the birthday duo. As an extra special treat Daddy stayed home a
little later (7:30am!) so he could sing happy birthday and watch the
kids blow out candles! Kate and Max were also surprised that the "gold
fairy" visited them and left five coins! Anna REALLY wanted it to be her birthday too!
Kate and Max were the line leaders and in charge of snack at Good Hope Preschool. Max chose vanilla pudding and Kate chose OREO birthday cookies (there are lots of allergies at this school so we have strict guidelines about what we can send in). They had a very fun-filled morning tracking down a lost gingerbread man while basking in the glory of being birthday line leaders with crowns!
Anna and I got to join Kate and Max at Discovery later in the day. We shared birthday cupcakes with their friends and The Very Hungry Caterpillar lace-up cards for all. They loved the crowns specially decorated by their classmates!
The kids chose to eat at Panera for dinner! We consumed A LOT of Mac-n-Cheese along with apples and milk while they told Daddy all about their special day.
The night was finished off with lots of phone calls, video messages and thoughtful gifts.
Thank you friends and family both near and far for making this a very special day for Kate and Max.
More celebrating to come...
