What we are learning is that Kate and Max have a lot of energy to LEARN and DO. They seem to thrive on new experiences, time to play, time to explore, time apart, time together...They want to be doing and their doing can look similar and different depending on the time of day, event, location, and heat index!
Kate has two more teeth, added several more words to her vocabulary, and is growing like a weed. She has been working on sharing, perfecting her somersaults, and jumping. She sings and rocks to Rock-a-Bye-Baby. Her favorite phrase is "Uh, oh
padigo (spaghetti-o)". Kate is very outgoing, loves play dates (especially with older kids), and loves a new adventure! Grandma Mary came to stay with Kate for three days. She got lots of special attention, new toys, and special treats. She now says "Mary"...
Max has taken an interest in talking - he picks up new words daily! His walking seems to be progressing a lot in the past few days. He rounds corners, turns, and remembers to walk on his own! He is also working on blowing bubbles, floating, somersaults, and climbing! He likes to color, play with cars, trucks, and trains, read books, hide in cabinets and rearrange the tupperware drawer. He spent three days at Duke getting involved in a peanut study - he is now DEVIL 023 (but still a Tarheel at heart)!
A special thanks to Sarah for capturing Kate and Max's unique personalities for us!
