It was fascinating watching Anna explore the grass the other day.

Another Puddle

Oh my Max just melts my heart...

I went to pick Max up at Gymnastics and found him by his cubby, surrounded by several other kids, sobbing uncontrollably.  When I asked him what was wrong he said, " I am going to miss my new best friend in the orange shirt (7 year old girl)."

Last week I had to take Anna in for a spontaneous doctor appointment because of a rash and when we were all done Max asked, "Mommy, did Anna check out?"

This weekend Peter was getting ready to take the kids to Fresh Market when Max comes to ask me, "Mommy, we are going to the Fresh Market, would you like me to get you some flowers?"

Parent Tea

The kids invited Anna and I to a little end of year program designed to thank parents for their contributions throughout the year and recognize the successful completion of the school year.  The kids were so excited and had been talking about their songs and art work for weeks.  They kept reminding me that they were going to be on stage, singing very loudly, and I was going to be there to watch them of course.  They popped right out of bed that morning, eager to get ready for preschool.  The two-year olds sang two songs and then received their certificates.  Kate sang so loudly and exaggerated her movements more than ever before - so cute.  Max was so proud to be on stage, sang the songs and gave me a little wave from the stage.

After the performance, we enjoyed snacks, talking with their teachers and friends and finding their art projects.  Kate named her water color project "Boom" and Max named his "The Turtle" - I think the names say a lot about their unique personalities! :)

We have had such a wonderful experience at Good Hope.  The teachers and director have been more than exceptional and accommodating.  The programs were all so well organized and thoughtful.  I felt that my kids grew a lot this year all the while feeling loved and respected.  This year exceeded my vision for my childrens' first year of preschool and I feel very blessed to be involved with such a wonderful community.

Happy Birthday Emma

We celebrated Emma's 3rd birthday with a dinosaur themed party!  Emma LOVES and knows everything about all dinosaurs - it is impressive!  Aunt Liz did an exceptional job on the dinosaur cake.  The kids could not have had more fun. There was painting, pool time, sand, bubbles, a parachute...you name it, it was outside!  The kids had a blast!

Daddy's Heart Melted

We were recalling the events of the weekend at dinner:

Max: Why did you take Mommy on a date night?

Daddy: Because Mommy is beautiful and I love her. (smart Daddy)

Kate:  Daddy, I'm beautiful.  You should take me on a date!

It's a Wonderful Life

What a weekend - I was spoiled to the moon and back! In addition to date night, me time, special gifts from Kate and Max, time with my sister, Bill, and Emma and a note that melted my heart from my husband, we enjoyed the most wonderful afternoon at Goat Lady Dairy with the kids, Mimi and Pop Pop.  An extraordinary experience for all of us.

I can not express enough how much I love and cherish my children, adore my sweet thoughtful husband, and admire the moms in my life.  I am so blessed to be surrounded by so much love and joy.

New Cousin

Our newest cousin, Roman Jack Kranz, is home at last!  He was born May 3 in Tampa, Florida to Andy and Jenny. He had to stay in the NICU for a week due to meconium aspiration but recovered perfectly. We can not wait to hold him and adore all his little parts.
Congratulations Andy & Jenny!
