Emergency Kit

Hurricane Joaquin was a huge topic of discussion this week at our house.  Max was the most obsessed interested in the impact of the storm.  He was even more concerned about what would happen to Papa D if the storm hit New York. He heard about being prepared with an emergency kit.  So the next thing I knew he had emptied an old lego box and started his own emergency kit for Papa D.  We did facetime with Papa D about the storm and he insisted that any type of cookie would be essential to his survival...Anna was quick to pull out a bag of chocolate chips and we got to work! Max and Kate worked on the first aid bag, non-perishable items and journal for recording the events of the storm.  And so it was born - a spiderman emergency kit for Papa D!
