Buckwheat Farm

July marks the beginning of blueberry season (give/take a week). We could not wait to visit Buckwheat Farm and start picking!
Kate took her job very seriously.  She just wandered up and down the rows filling her container with no regard to what the rest of us were doing.
Max followed me around and wanted me to take a picture of each blueberry he picked. I think he had a small competition going with Kate (unknown to her) to see who could get more.

Anna was hilarious! She did pick a few blueberries (some were blue...) and she ate about a pint worth of berries as she followed me and/or the peacocks around.
The grand finale were the two horses that came right up to us and let all three kids pet them! Kate and Anna could hardly believe it.

It is great that you all go blueberry picking and each year they seem to enjoy it even more. Fun to look back even a year or two and see their enthusiasm. Again no fear and the horses are so big. Love it.
