Happy Fourth of July

We had a super fun day! We started the day with a few crafts and made watermelon and blueberry sparklers (thank you pinterest)!
We headed to downtown Apex for an Olde Fashioned Fourth of July celebration.  We packed in as many bounce houses and water slides possible before the big parade. The grand finale was the real firefighter who sprayed the crowd with a real fire hose from a real ladder engine! Let me tell you it was a madhouse but it was so much fun getting soaked!

We came home and changed (Anna was on her third outfit of the day by noon) and got ready for the Simmons family to join us for an afternoon of playing and dinner.
Thanks to Pinterest I got some cute ideas to make our table festive like the banners, mason jars with ribbon, star confetti, mini activity booklets for kiddos, wax paper cones for veggie chips, strawberry shortcake and star cookies.

Thanks Simmons Family for celebrating the USA's Birthday with us!

Daddio got home early from work!

Wow! That looks like it was a great celebration. How fun really like the fruit sparklers. Glad you could all celebrate.
