We picked up Mimi and headed to our new property on Searsport Island. The land has amazing vistas and is a few steps from our favorite spot in Maine - Fort Port State Park (aka Apple Island).
Back Story: Mimi and Pop Pop have been taking us to Fort Point State Park since we have been bringing our kids to Maine. We always went by boat, so to the kids it was an island. We always found apples on the island which we would collect and bring home to make applesauce. The name, Apple Island, was born with the first trip.
