Cousins

We took our cousins out to Jordan Lake to explore the recently revealed New Hope Valley. We learned that the dam was constructed in 1967 and the lake was filled by 1982.  Uncle Matt was very excited to show us his new toy drone!

 I am so very thankful for my family and appreciate the time and effort they make to be TOGETHER!

Lefse Laughs

We got together for our annual lefse making party to stock up for the year!  Mom and Dad prepared the potatoes. Papa D and I prepared the dough balls. I rolled out the dough. Liz and Lana baked them on the griddle. It is a two day process (5 hours each day). We all left with a lot of lefse, a coating of flour from head to toe, and a greater appreciation for what my Grandma Johnson did on her own every year! 🤪😂

Lana is 40!

We surprised Lana with a birthday dinner in honor of her 40th birthday! Mom & Dad made Grandma's  spaghetti.  The kids helped Papa D. make Lana's favorite cupcakes.  We set up a scavenger hunt with pics of Lana throughout the years!

Swim season

 Swim season with bestie, Emerson, was super fun! Twice a week, these girls swam nonstop for 1.25hours indoors and outdoors! They were cold, sore, and HAPPY after every practice! 🥰

Baking with Papa D.

Papa D. Is very well know as a pastry chef in our family. One of his most famous desserts is a Banana Peanut Butter Cupcake! Papa D offered to spend the afternoon in Cary teaching the kids how it is done! Everyone had a special part to play! Kate made the cupcakes. Anna frosted. Alex “cleaned”
