Aunt Lana

 Lana had a busy three weeks in the US and is able to return to New Zealand without quarantine and dodging COVID! We filled her time with many projects, shopping, dinners, walks, and iced coffee! I am always so grateful for the gift of Lana!

Spaghetti Dinner

 My parents treated us girls to a wonderful weekend together.  The grande finale was a homemade spaghetti dinner at the congo (condo) with homemade desserts by Lana and Kate.

 Alex was able to redeem his Christmas activity with Daddio this weekend!

 Anna and Peter had the PERFECT day for tea at the Umstead!  

Odyssey of the Mind: Circus

Anna has been working with a team of six other girls for the past six months to prepare for the Odyssey of the Mind tournament. We had such a fun day at the tournament seeing all the creative interpretations of different challenges and working together as a team. The girls were thrilled to place fourth and get invited to the State tournament!

Teacher Appreciation Week

Anna and Alex celebrated Teacher Appreciation week at school last week.  They did such a great job preparing little treats for all their teachers throughout the week.  They made cards, poems, and jokes. They found cute little plants and made little mason jars filled with love.  The two of them spent an entire weekend working on their little treats and they were so proud to bring them in each day.  It just shows how much they truly love and appreciate their teachers and school. 

Read Across America

 Mills Park Elementary school celebrated Read Across America last week.  Every day had a fun theme (silly hair, school spirit, RED/WHITE/BLUE, PJ/Inspirational leader).  My favorite day was the inspirational leader day - very creative work!
