Easter #1

Even though we had to postpone our annual egg hunt,  Liz, Emma and my Mom came for a short visit to celebrate Easter.

Kate, Max and Emma wasted no time  getting to business - pirates, princesses, legos, bunnies etc. Anna was dressed up too - princess fairy ballerina doctor!  So much pretending...so many smiles...so much love!

The kids LOVED the indoor version of the egg hunt complete with a scavenger hunt and prizes!
They each earned a DIY basil planter for completing their scavenger hunt.  For our craft, we made garden stakes to put in our planters.
The kids loved eating their spring lunch at the "cousin table".
A fabulous day for these four cousins!

Good Friday

We had to fill Good Friday with some good fun with our good friends.  We met Hadley, Coby, Ethan and a few friends from preschool at a local park.

We played, played and played some more.
We introduced tattoos to Hadley!
We had a picnic lunch
We topped it all off with an impromptu egg hunt!!!
For not being a spontaneous person AT ALL, I thought this turned out exceptionally well!

Thanks Shannon for getting us together!

Easter Eggs

The kids and I took advantage of the super nice weather and dyed our Easter Eggs outside. Max and Kate did all the measuring of vinegar and water to make each cup of dye.  Then they had a blast mixing and matching colors until their heart was content.
Anna waited patiently for her turn by decorating the patio with her itty bitty stickers.
Kate was a super helper guiding Anna through the process with her eggs. Anna's eggs were dropped and rolling all over the patio (thanks goodness they were hard-boiled) but we agreed the  "crackled" effect looked pretty awesome.
Then they all decorated their eggs with stickers.
Kate and Max made bunny masks at school (including one for Anna) which they wore for our EGGstravaganza!

Easter Hat Parade

One of the cutest little programs the kids do at Good Hope Preschool is the Easter Hat Parade.  The kids make a hat to reflect their classroom theme. Kate and Max just had their last parade as OWLS

I am IN LOVE...

...with the Easter Bunny!

We went to the mall in search of the Easter Bunny and we found him wandering around hugging kids and dancing.  We rushed him, gave him big hugs, high fives and then proceeded to walk him to his "set" holding his paws.  Can you imagine the thrill in my kids(and me)?!?!  Max was just giddy and hardly knew what to do with himself.  Anna was in love and could not stop touching/hugging him.  I thought Kate was going to faint! :)
