Playground

 We packed a picnic and visited a playground for the first time since COVID.  Feels good to return to some of these old favorites.

NC Botanical Gardens

 The NC Botanical Gardens in Chapel Hill have opened to the public!  The kids and I had fun exploring, finding the wackiest plant names ever and doing a scavenger hunt to find all the special art structures embedded throughout the gardens.

1870 Farm

I had the most magical Mother's Day.  From the minute I woke up to coffee waiting for me to take on a walk, a scavenger hunt, lunch at Mimi's house, an epic afternoon on the farm, and a 5-star dinner. A perfect day!

WINNER, WINNER!

Every year our school puts on a super awesome carnival to raise money for the school.  The room parents help gather donations to make these super awesome raffle baskets.  Due to COVID, the carnival, raffle baskets, and auction went virtual and WE WON the Family Movie Night Basket!!!  It is a crazy basket with candy, popcorn machine, movie projector, gift cards to local restaurants and Netflix, and movies.  Seriously?!?!? We hit the jackpot. 

Socially Distanced Play Dates

 Now that the weather is shaping up and COVID numbers are on the decline we are trying out socially distanced friend time.  Kate went on a bike ride with a friend.  Max had a buddy over for nerf wars.  Addison and Alec came over for a water fight. Anna's friends came over for a string art craft time.  All went well.  Kids stayed outside, distanced, and masked - baby steps in the direction of normal!
