Dance Recital

The most anticipated event of the year - Star Path Dance Recital!  This year the recital was held at The Carolina Theater in downtown Durham which made it feel especially special!  The girls participated in two dances - "Try Everything" (jazz dance) and "Friend Like Me" (sibling dance). It was an amazing event and the girls felt so confident, loved and special!  Loved that Mimi, Grandma Mary, Papa D., Aunt Liz, Uncle Brandon and Claire were a part of the festivities!

 

County Fair

Kate and Max have been working for over a month on a research project.  They were assigned a county in the NC and had to become experts, create a display board and pamphlet and present it at a grade-level fair.

Anna's EOY awards

Anna's class had a fun EOY celebration.  We watched a super awesome slideshow while we ate ice cream! They nominated each other for superlatives earlier in the week, so we found out the winners - Anna was nominated as the Student Leader and most likely to become president!

Sea Dragon of the Week

Time Trials

I love starting the swim season off with time trials!  It gives us all a chance to get ourselves organized and sorted before the first big dual meet, be social and something about times.... :)  The kids did awesome and had so much fun!!!

Impromptu

I had promised neighbor Emma that we would all watch a Harry Potter movie together once she finished book 3. I was absolutely tickled that all the kids ran off the bus Friday to tell me Emma was three pages from finishing!  We were all so excited that we made a night out of it - pizza, popcorn and a movie - completely perfect in every way!

Baseball Season

This weekend we had awesome baseball weather, powerful plays and huge hits!
Max was spot on with hitting, keeping track of the score and knowing where the plays were going to be.

 

 

Alex knew where to run next, kept his eye on the ball and focused on throwing right where he pointed!
