The kids are working on an economics unit. At school they are talking about supply and demand and earning "money" in the classroom that they will be able to use on Market Day. At Market Day, each student will bring a homemade product(x20) that they must market and sell to their classmates. Max came home the day the project was introduced with a poll he did on his own during the day to see what sports the kids in his class liked and had a plan to make a variety of "sport bookmarks". Mimi (to the rescue) added they needed to be laminated and a touch of sporty leather hanging off the top. Kate was determined to use pipe cleaners in some way. After much discussion - TIC-TAC-TOE was born! The kids made lists for the store and written proposals. Anna, Alex and I shopped for all our supplies. Max, Kate and Anna listened to several books on CD while they worked together to get their products finished! I am so proud of them and what an awesome project!
