Since Kate spends copious amounts of time creating the perfect bed for her 'girls', Mimi thought it was only appropriate that they have their own sleeping bags! The kids were thrilled to help with the pillow stuffing. The 'girls' slept well in their new sleeping bag. :)

Museum of Life and Science

We were invited to the Museum of Life and Science by Ms. Jenn, Coby, and Ethan earlier this week.  It was a super fun morning at the museum inside and outside followed by a picnic lunch.

Another First...

Max took a trip to Duke hospital in an ambulance! 

He woke up coughing which escalated quickly until he was having difficulty breathing causing him to panic which exacerbated everything... At one point he barely whispered in a strained raspy voice, "someone needs to help me quickly." The unexplained episode settled down after some oxygen and a breathing treatment.  We were all able to come home before the sun rose.  We are monitoring him closely and hope he continues to do well.

A special thanks to all my neighbors who called and texted to see if they could help.  An incredible shout-out to Rachel and Ruth who arrived minutes after I called them and spent the entire night sleeping with Kate. Thank you to the firemen and EMS crew who calmly helped Max while making sure Kate was not scared and saw that her brother was going to be alright.
