After coming down from Black Forest National Park, Baden-Baden is a charming spa town at the foot of the mountain. They walked around the streets, saw the casino, and thermal baths that used to attract European royalty. It was a great last stop before headed to airport.

Germany: Triberg Falls
Triberg Falls was a day trip with a scenic drive into the mountains of
the Black Forest. They saw falls and did a hike and went in search of
Black Forest Squirrels and fed them peanuts. We had a beautiful picnic
lunch outside a little grocery.
Germany: Freiburg
Freiberg is a beautiful university town with another historic city-center and lots of winding cobblestone streets. One of the most charming parts of Freiberg are the small streams that run alongside the roads throughout the city that occasionally serve as a place for children to play and cool-off.
Germany: Colmar
They did a mini stop in Colmar, France on our way from Strasbourg to Freiberg. It is a charming old alsatian town with winding cobblestone streets and little rivers and throughout the quiet streets. They had lunch with tarte flambe and potato rosti and visited the local food market.
Germany: Strasbourg
Strasbourg is an amazing little town at the heart of Alsace with well-preserved half timber houses. The town is surrounded by a river and lots of the branches of the river run throughout the city. We went on a walking tour and saw the Cathedral (tallest in Europe), learned about the storks that migrate to the area and a symbol of the city, and found a delicious GLUTEN FREE bakery where Kate was able to try some of the regional specialties including flambe and chocolate eclaire.
Germany: Heidelberg
After arriving in Frankfurt, Germany Peter, Kate and Max drove to Heidelberg to start their adventures. They explored the Old Town, The Heidelberg Castle, and crossed over the old bridge and walked over the Philosophers Walk. They enjoyed multiple amazing meals with their favorite restaurant being Hackteuful.
