We have waited for 11 years to find a sea turtle nest in front of our house!!! The following night, the sea turtle patrol helped 80 hatchlings to the sea in advance of the hurricane. We were not allowed to participate in any way but we did get to see the little black loggerhead sea turtles (the size of a silver dollar) work their way into the waves from our porch and it was SUPER EXCITING!
