Alex is 12

Our little man is 12! 💙

Alex fills our home with so much joy, laughter, and love. He is confident, caring, curious, and always ready to learn or try something new. He’s adventurous when it comes to food (especially anything with Asian flavors!) and brings the same enthusiasm to life.

Alex is a wonderful friend, a generous brother, and a kind cousin. Whether he’s reading a great book, building with LEGOs, solving puzzles, watching movies, listening to music, playing golf, or swimming, he gives it his all. He truly works hard so he can play hard.

One of my favorite things about Alex is that I can always count on him for a hug. His kind heart and joyful spirit make every day brighter.

Happy 12th Birthday, Alex! We are so proud of the young man you’re becoming and can’t wait to see what this next year brings. We love you so much! ❤️🎉

 

Holly Springs Food Cupboard

Kate and I love gardens days at Holly Springs Food Cupboard. We work on compost, weeding, harvesting, mulching, and general plant care.  

 

Friend Time

The sun came out and we grabbed our friends and headed to the pool!

Kate at Duke

 Kate was living her best life at Duke.  Living, Learning, and meeting new people.  She had so many great stories to share and was excited about the new things she learned and adventures around Raleigh and Durham - AMAZING experience all around!

Max loved the classroom time, getting to know some professors and TAs, visiting the law school and courthouses, being autonomous on the Duke campus, and engaging in some great debates!

Our Little Foodie

Alex LOVES trying new foods.  The one request he had for this week as only child was to eat out at some special restaurants.  We hit Vin Ruuge (French), Juju (Pan-Asian), SAAP (Laotian), Mezcalito (Mexican) and Naos (Greek).  He has not met a food or spice he does not like and the leftovers are equally good! Such a fun way to spend time together.
