The kids were all determined that we return to Monhegan Island. We drove to Port Clyde to catch the ferry to Monhegan. Through the fog, thick as stew, 11 miles off the coast of Maine, the little artists' island appeared. We spent the day hiking, combing for sea glass and pottery, building a fairy house and having a picnic. The ferry ride back was exciting with porpoises and harbor seals popping up and learning the history of the islands we passed. It was a perfect Maine day!💕
