This was our first week of "Remote Learning" as assigned by our teachers at Mills Park Elementary. While I am not sure what is state/district/school mandates - this week was beautifully planned, executed and facilitated from our perspective. I had a spreadsheet to keep all the Zoom/Google Meet/1-on-1/office hours/ assignments straight for each kid. The kids completed a weekly planner with all their assignments, so we could easily see their progress and make adjustments to the schedule as needed. The grade levels planned together and had a nice balance of pre-recorded video instruction balanced with activities either on Seesaw (pre-K and 2nd Grade) or Google Classrooms (5th grade). All work was turned in on their corresponding platform, feedback was given promptly, plenty of time was offered to check in with teachers each day with any clarification needed. The LIVE ZOOM/Google Classroom activities were lively and engaging.

The entire week, we were getting updates as little things needed to be changed or tweaked or clarified. The ongoing effort by the teachers to reflect, respond and make adjustments was incredible. I could not have asked for a better first week of remote learning!

OMG! That week just seems too full. I am tired and I only read and enjoyed photos! Love that the learning, experimenting and creativity thrives! Love that you have such a great balance because play is important too. Love and hugs, YVBA
