SNOW - Day 3

We spent most of the day making the most of the disappearing ice and snow! We found patches of ice on the sidewalk and good sledding in the bushes. Max helped me shovel the driveway and the girls worked on a fort and followed animal tracks, while Alex chased us around with sticks!

Go Heels!

For Christmas Max got tickets to the UNC vs. NC State basketball game. Peter and Max made it and had a BLAST! Heel won 104 to 56!

SNOW - Day 2

Extreme temps make for excellent, super fast, sledding (even with boxes from Cotsco)!

SNOW - Day 1

We woke up to mostly ice and a little snow. The sleet eventually transitioned to snow mid-morning which covered most of the grassy surfaces.  The kids were eager as ever to get outside and see what Mother Nature had given them! By 8:30am, we were in full-gear and ready to go! We spent the majority of the day sledding, going on a super long walk to test all nearby hills and having snowball fights with the neighbors! SUPER. AWESOME. DAY!

Macarons

Kate received a macaron kit from Aunt Lana and Uncle Charles for Christmas.  We have had a lot of fun learning how these delicate little cookies are made. We learn something new with each batch!

Ice Skating - Take 2

We had so much fun ice skating with Uncle Matt that we had to bring Cousin Emma and neighborhood friends a second time!  It was even more fun the second time!

Alex's Imaginary Friend

Alex has an imaginary friend named Meow-Meow (it is a cat). He is so in love with this little guy who mostly appears at mealtime.  Alex likes to feed him and tell us how Meow-Meow is feeling.
