Legoland

We decided to surprise the kids with an extra little side trip to Legoland which is only 45 minutes from Disney! The kids had a BLAST going on rides, seeing shows, meeting master builders, and studying the mini cities and lego statues all around the park.  SO. MUCH. FUN!

EVERYTHING was AWESOME!

Chef Mickey

I was so excited when I got a reservation for Chef Mickey for the day we arrived! I could hardly wait to start our vacation with an awesome night of singing, dancing and hugs for Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Pluto and Goofy.
Alexander LOVED meeting the characters!!!

Disney Surprise

We successfully surprised the kids with a trip to Disney!

All we told the kids the morning of the trip was 1. we were going on a family vacation and 2. it required one plane ride.  Max guessed Mexico or South America.  Kate was hopeful it was Disney. Anna was confident it was Disney!
Ready to plane!
 Alexander's first plane ride

We made it to the Orlando and gave them their MagicBands (silicone bracelets customized with their names) as we got in line for the Magical Express to Disney. There are simply no words to express their excitement when they put it all together but suffice to say we had some very happy kiddos!!!
We stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo House.  It is situated in the middle of the Animal Kingdom savanna so there were real animals (giraffes, gazelles, flamingos, antelope, rhino, zebra etc.) roaming around everywhere you looked!
We started by exploring our resort and playing at the Hakuna Matata Playground before heading to dinner.
The next few posts will be a bit of picture overload because it is hard to capture the fun and excitement in words!:)

Tooth Fairy

Max lost his first tooth during lunch at school today.  He was terribly disappointed because he thought his first tooth would get pulled out by someone who loved him not just fall out on its own. :) According to Max, when you lose a tooth in the lunch room, there are no ziplocs to put it in, so it is sealed in a latex glove for safe keeping. Max was pretty excited to to show all of us his tooth and carefully place it under his pillow for the Tooth Fairy!

Snapology

Max had the opportunity to participate in Snapology after school. It is a lego club that is run through snapology at the school site!  A PERFECT fit for Max.  The theme of the weekly sessions is famous buildings.  He has learned about the Empire State Building, Fallingwater and the Seattle Space Needle and built his own rendition of each.
A special thanks goes out to Pop Pop and Mimi for picking him each Wednesday so I can take Kate to ballet.
