Peter and I had a great time exploring the city of Satiago. We learned a lot about the history and architecture, explored some markets, ate at some amazing spots along the way and had great vistas in every direction.

Peter and I had an amazing opportunity to travel to Chile for Peter's work! Thanks to my parents, we had ten days to explore Santiago, Valpraiso, and San Vicente. Chile is a gorgeous place with the kindest people, amazing food, and wonderful wine!

Reflections: Rise Up
Rise Up

This piece represents the prompt by showing the barriers we create for ourselves based on societal norms about our flaws and that we can break them. The black lines and gray represent the darkness our minds fall into if we allow ourselves to succumb to prejudices we set within ourselves and the pressures we put on ourselves to hide our differences that actually make us stronger. The hand tearing at the lines represents the realization that you can be yourself without judgment of others. The color from the empty space shows the freedom you can experience by releasing preconceived expectations.
