Three Bears Acres

I love three days weekends! In addition to our regular chores we fit in a date night, time with friends, family and siblings, time to "Chillax", bake, craft, work in the yard, play with Finn and just be at home together.  We took advantage of the extra day and gorgeous weather to check out Three Bears Acres - a super fun outside playground with awesome slides, paddle boats, pumpkin slingshots, hay bale towers, paint wall, moon bounce an more! Every weekend should be three days!

Learning Experiences

It worked out just perfectly that all three big kids had a learning experiences on the day Alex had no school.
Anna's class did a fall theme and got to dress as storybook characters. Alex was thrilled to join the class in full character.
Max and Kate celebrated the end of their Esperanza Rising book unit with several activities that got them to reflect back on the characters and story.

Camp Flintlock

Kate & Max had a truly awesome field trip brought to their school field! The focus of Camp Flintlock was on Colonial Times and all the activities engaged them in some of the work, play and creative fun of the colonial times.

IT'S A DOG PARTY!!!

Anna planned a birthday party for Finn and invited his best friends from around the neighborhood! It was the perfect day to run around outside in the backyard, drink beer, and eat pupcakes (or cupcakes if you were human)! Anna did all the decorations and preparation and our neighbors were so sweet to bring their furry friends to the party! The five dogs had a BLAST chasing each other and the kids around the yard!

Halloween 2019

Halloween 2019 was a raging success.  The kids creativity came out and they each had costumes unique to their interests and personalities! Kate was Professor McGonegle. Max created his own Minecraft Creeper costume. Anna was a very cool zombie. Alex was a skeleton! Finn was Chewie! They were all super proud of their costume!

The Kodoesh family hosted the kick-off party with pizza. We started trick-or-treating ASAP and moved quickly though our favorite streets.  The setting was perfect with thunder and lightening flickering all around and storms clouds looming.  The kids filled their buckets and we wrapped up as the rain started pouring! A Halloween to remember!
