Alex's Pirate Birthday

We had such a blast at the pool with a few friends and family to celebrate captain Alexander's 3rd Birthday!  We played bingo, went on a scavenger hunt, had a sword fight, send Max's ship on its' maiden voyage, splashed in the water, zipped down the water slide and had lots of pirate snacks!

Final Swim Meet

The last meet was a LOOOONG one, with a delayed start and a postponement due to weather.  That said, the kids did awesome!  Kate swam all six events and Max swam 5 of the events over the course of two days.  They were pushed and put their best foot forward to the very end and had fun doing it! Grandma Mary and Papa D came to cheer them on the first day and Anna and Alex cheered them on to the very end!

Sea Dragon of the Week

When asked why she thought she was chosen by her coaches as Sea Dragon of the week she said, "I think I was chosen probably because I follow directions the first time I am told."

Fishy In The Water

Alex can not get enough pool time!!!  We are at the pool a lot (a complete understatement) and so I guess it is only natural that he is very comfortable and willing to try almost anything!  The other day I asked if he wanted to go down the slide on his own and he said "yes!" with no hesitation!!!

First Swim Meet

I know Anna had her first Mini swim meet this weekend.  To our surprise, she was invited to join the Sea Dragons in a regular swim meet as a "6 and under".  She did freestyle and backstroke and cheered on her team! A big week for this little girl! Kate had another wonderful week with a winning backstroke and brought home some points for the team in both the medley and free relays! Max rocked all of his events and had a winning butterfly!

Sea Dragon of the Week

When asked why she thought the coaches selected her as Sea Dragon of the Week her response was priceless, "Probably because I work really hard and never give up!"
