Anna participated in her first ever swim meet! She joined nine other mini Sea Dragons at Scotts' Mill Swim Club and swam against two other teams! Anna swam in the freestyle and backstroke events (the only events) and ROCKED IT!!!

Spontaneous Visits are the BEST
My parents decided to take my Grandparents on a little day trip to Cary! The kids were sooooo very excited, we baked cookies and banana bread and made cards for their arrival. The kids and G&G Johnson kept busy with currency collections, looking at scrapbooks and reading stories. It was the most wonderful afternoon!

Fireworks
We learned from friends at the pool and Yelp that one of the funnest spots to see the Durham Bulls fireworks was at Pelican's Snoballs in Durham! So the kids were excited all day to see the fireworks and pick from over 100 flavors of snow cones! Simple, Fun, All American!

Eno River

Great Grandparents
We had the fortunate opportunity to spend some time with my Grandparents, Odell and Evelyn Johnson, this weekend. It was so special that our kids got to spend this time with their Great Grandparents! Anna (affectionately know as our "Love Barnacle") was immediately attached to Grandma Johnson. Max was drawn to Grandpa Johnson's war stories. Alex enjoyed showing off all his "wimming" tricks. Kate seemed to embrace the extra special opportunity to be with both! It was an absolute joy to share this day with our kids and my Grandparents.
