Happy Birthday Emma!

We had the best time celebrating Emma's Fourth Birthday in Greensboro.  She had a princess pool party.  What kids does not love water, bubbles, painting and cake?!?! A little slice of heaven for everyone including our little Princess Emma!

Princess Party

We celebrated Emma's (our neighbor) fifth birthday this week.  She wanted a princess birthday and princess is what she got!  Ms. Carin made a perfect little tea party to start off the festivities then the kids completed a group scavenger hunt.  The hunt was perfectly designed to tie in the theme while capturing the enthusiasm and attention of 4/5 year olds boys and girls...  WOW, so much fun!!!

Parent Tea

The kids invited me to the Parent Tea at preschool.  They were so excited because they had worked hard on a few songs they were going perform on stage and several art projects that filled the auditorium.  I am so proud of them both and am not quite ready to admit the year is coming to a close next week!

Durham Bulls

Peter and Pop Pop took Max to his very first baseball game!!!  Max was in boy heaven and I am certain he will remember this day forever.  He got time with both Daddy and Pop Pop to himself, experienced baseball, saw the Durham jail (a big deal to Max), ate cracker jacks and a hot dog and got a new "cap".  Peter took the day off work and Pop Pop hustled back from Florida to make this happen and I think it was very memorable for all of them.

Mimi's Tea Party

Mimi and I spent a little girl time with Kate (Anna was napping). We painted nails, watched a movie, ate popcorn, went to ballet and had a tea party - the highlight of the day! The tea set was Mimi's tea set as a little girl.  Oh yes, this delicate set of hand-painted china was entrusted to my little diva and she could not have been more excited!!! Thank you Mimi for such a special girls' day.

Canoe Time

We met Jenn, Coby and Ethan at Bond Park (aka Mimi's Park) and spent the entire time playing by the lake.  Peter actually got off work early and joined us and the kids were thrilled because then they got a chance to go out in a canoe.  I love that the kids had so much fun chasing ducks, digging in the sand, climbing trees, finding sticks and floating through the water - so simple.

"I Love You To Pieces"

Kate & Max made these in preschool for Mother's Day. They are adorable and the kids are so proud of them which makes them even more special.
