 Alex and Anna decided they wanted to continue their swimming adventure this fall with MORE! WE have found a super awesome program near us that the kids seem extremely excited about.

Service

Kate has really enjoyed the volunteering aspect of NCL.  She made a personal goal to reach 100 service hours last year.  She was awarded the Hour Glass Award and the Presidents' Service Award with a letter signed by the president!

Umstead Hike

You all know how I love a 3-day weekend!  We took advantage of the gorgeous weather and went on a 3 mile 4 mile hike in Umstead State Park.  The park has so many trails but this one way probably our favorite to date!

Back At It

Max got the all clear to return to normal activity this week.  He has hit the courts twice, returned to JTT, road his bike to school and went on a long hike.  Feeling quite blessed!

Since I was in Minnesota, I could not resist driving by my own childhood home in Minneapolis, St. Helena's Church and school where I went to school for grades K-6 and my Grandparents' home in St. Paul which was like a second home to me. 💕

The Farm

Mabel, Minnesota is a tiny little farming town of 716 people in the corner of Minnesota near the Iowa border. My dad grew up on the family farm with his sister and two brothers. Us kids grew up visiting the farm often for holidays, special occasions, and summers. We helped in the fields, chased pigs, fed the cows, collected butterflies, swam in the corn silos, drove tractors, fished and made so many fantastic memories. 

My amazing grandfather, Odell Johnson, of 101 years spent  38 years (1951-1989) on this property growing the farm, raising cattle, pigs and chickens, farming the land for corn, soybeans, and grain.

Evelyn Johnson

Evelyn Irene Narum Johnson (Grandma Johnson) passed away in Mabel, Minnesota on September 17, 2022.  She lived an amazing life and left behind a legacy of love and happiness.

Boosterthon

Mills Park Elementary school had a very successful boosterthon this year! The kids had a blast with all the fun activities, challenges and Fun Run!
