Lion's Birthday

Alex announced Lion's 10th birthday party today.  The party was complete with invitations, food, dress code, decorations and gifts for Lion.

The Wait Is Over

 Anna picked out this bike for her birthday back in September!  After six months of patiently waiting, it is as perfect as she envisioned! This bike symbolizes Anna's character inside and out!!!

Anna has a bracelet business called Stretchers!

Alex has a paper airplane business called Paper Airplane Maker.

Mars Rover

We watched NASA's Mars Rover, Perseverance, land on Mars.  NASA LIVE had some great commentary explaining all that was happening before, during and following the landing.  The kids were absolutely entranced.

Happy Valentine's Day

We had the perfect day filled with lots of love!!! The kids had a fun competition with their breakfast.  Then we drove around to their friends houses and dropped off Valentine treat bags. Mimi invite the kids over for dinner.  Peter and I enjoyed our own date night at home with a super scrumptious chicken with 40 cloves, bubbly, and dessert!!! I LOVE Valentine's Day.

 

Pavlova Virtual Bake

 Kate was invited to join a couple friends to have a virtual bake party.  They chose to make a pavlova.  They spent 3 hours on ZOOM together in their own kitchens laughing and giggling.

Alex's Valentine's Learning Experience

Alex's classmates have worked so hard to prepare for this learning experience.  They ALL made their own valentine's for each friend and delivered it school when we returned from the holiday break. The teacher sorted into bags for each student.  We picked up the sorted Valentine's and learning experience materials two weeks ago and have been patiently waiting!   It was soooooo worth it.  The kids had a blast doing a scavenger hunt, playing BINGO, making a necklace, eating their LOVE BUG snack and opening their bag of surprises fro their friends.  They were in absolute AWE at every single card, card, pencil eraser, piece of candy, tattoo, sticker inside.  It was so, so, so cute!!!

Cupid's Bow & Arrow

Anna's class had a virtual Valentine's Learning Experience today.  They learned about the Greek God Eros (i.e. Cupid), made, and tested their own bows and arrows.  The kids were blown away with how mighty and far their arrows went once they got the rubber bands just right.  It was so much fun working through the challenges with them and seeing their faces light up when their arrows flew across the room or bounced off the ceiling. Another sweet mom offered to make a fun treat bag for everyone!!

Virtual Emoji Party

Kate and Max wanted to celebrate with their birthday with their family, especially their cousins. They planned a super fun EMOJI themed ZOOM call with four games, treats and family party favor.  They started the call with Would You Rather to make sure everyone got a chance to talk. We then played emoji BINGO because now it is a tradition that we play BINGO when we ZOOM. Next, we played pictionary BINGO - the kids had to guess the book that went with the emoji descriptors.  The last game was a a scavenger hunt based on fun facts about Kate and Max.  We sand HAPPY BIRTHDAY and opened gift while everyone snaked on their emoji cookies. We wrapped up the call with Family Movie Night party buckets - complete with a PRIME movie rental gift cards, popcorn and candy.  ALL of the kids had a blast!
