Virtual Academy: End of Quarter 1

We officially completed our first quarter of Virtual Academy!!! I am so proud of my kiddos for working through a lot of challenges, helping me, encouraging one another, celebrating their successes, doing their best work, participating, being good leaders and showing integrity. 

Student of the Week

 OMG - ALEX is Student of the Week!!!

Here is the moment he found out, followed by his very own teacher putting the sign in our yard!

Little man, we are so proud of all you have accomplished this year as a virtual kindergartener.  You are reading, writing, creating, engineering, problem solving, critically thinking, caring for your friends and showing PRIDE in all that you do.  We are so proud of you Alex.

Letterland Parade

The letterland parade is a long held tradition in kindergarten. Kids pick a letterland character to become and they parade around the school. Alex knew he wanted to be Red Robot from the beginning.  The girls decided they wanted to be in on the fun and they both wanted to be Clever Cat.  Alex settled the dispute by proclaiming a Big C and a Little c! Max was not sure if he would be able to participate because of his schedule but at the last minute his schedule cleared and Kate insisted he be Firefighter Fred. I was ZigZag Zebra! We had a blast driving through the parade and seeing our teachers dressed up as their favorite letterlander.

Party Animals

 We celebrated Finn's 2nd birthday with three of his furry friends - Lily, Charlie, and Bauer! Anna planned the entire event from invitations to decorations. Parents dropped off their furry friends for an hour of intense backyard play time and pupcakes.
