Preschool Open House

We got to meet Alexander's preschool teachers, Ms. Eleanor and Ms. Karen, in the Frog's class!!!  We had lot of time to play and meet new friends.  Alex was also very excited about hugging all his former teachers! We are super excited about another awesome year at Good Hope Preschool!!!

Practice K Day

Today, was Anna's staggered entry day (i.e. kindergarten testing day or practice kindergarten).  In short, she went to kindergarten for a few hours with a small group of other kids and they moved from class to class, meeting all the teachers, playing games and doing projects! Anna was SOOOOO EXCITED about kindergarten after this day.  She said, "Kindergarten is SOOOOO AWESOME!" 

First Day of 3rd Grade

The first day of 3rd grade was a success all around.  We got to walk to school with friends and give hugs goodbye! Kate and Max could not stop talking when they got home and were all smiles! Homework was in full swing before I got the bookbags empty! 

 

Last Hurrah

The summer is ending and we enjoyed the day by simply spending time together.  We went on a bike ride/walk, got ice cream, built forts, played with legos, worked on projects. filled in our planners 😊, prepared our bookbags, delivered goody bags to friends and ate at Cafe Papa (Daddy cooked)! It was a simple and sweet way to end our summer fun!

Thrilled Third Graders

Kate and Max had their meet-the-teacher morning.  Kate will be in Ms. Dowell's Class and Max will be in Ms. Salva's class.  Both immediately found friends they have known from years past and could hardly wait to see where all their other friends landed on the hallway.  Anna and Alex made themselves at home...in each classroom.

Back to Ballet

The Girls have both decided to return to dance this year. New year = new leotard colors!
Kate is in Ballet Fusion with Miss Jene!

Marbles Museum

We squeezed in a trip to Marbles Museum before the start of school!  The kids were thrilled and made every minute count! Alex certainly got into character in every area!  Anna was drawn to the pets. Kate and Max gravitated to the older kids and made up fun games and challenges in each area.  It was a total blast!

First Sleepover

Kate and Max wanted to have their first sleepover with their friends, Alec and Addy (twins they have known since K). K&M planned out the entire sleepover including activities and meals (with creative food names) that went along with their chosen movie: Harry Potter #5.
It was a super fun and easy sleepover!
