We had a wonderful opportunity to spend the day with some Greensboro folks - the Ross and Simmons families. The adults were outnumbered by kids but it was all good. I love these guys and their families and look forward to many more fun-filled afternoons in the sun blowing bubbles and reminiscing... :)

7 Months Old
Nothing but smiles!
Our sweet baby girl loves to smile, sputter and giggle. She loves her toys more and more, focusing on the smallest little details like tags and loose threads. She is not mobile but she does seem to wiggle enough the spin in circles and get to toys. She is successful at getting access to her toes no matter what socks or shoes I try to keep on her feet. She found a little baby doll of Kate's that fits perfectly in her hands and mouth - she even gives her a kiss when prompted.
I love her consistent schedule. She takes two morning naps and two afternoon naps, one of which occurs when Max and Kate nap!!! She was sleeping through the night but recently started waking up midway through the night...teeth??? growth spurt??? We may never know but she smiles and gives me a hug and a kiss whenever I pick her up so who cares!
She is in awe of Max and Kate. She will giggle at anything they do and smiles adoringly at them whenever they give her the smallest bit of attention. Max makes her giggle the most and she tries to get his attention in the car.
She started solids this month. So far oatmeal, bananas, sweet potatoes, and pears seem to be winners! She eats two little meals a day, one at lunch and one at dinner. She sits in her highchair right next to Kate and Max and is content as can be as long as they are around.
Love You Always and Forever!

Sisters
Kate and Anna had the best time playing
with each other and a set of cones!
with each other and a set of cones!
First Kate surrounded Anna with cones and kept reminding her not to eat them
Anna giggling at Kate's silly dance (which made Kate get more silly)
Kate tried to see how many discs Anna could hold on her head
Anna pulled Kate in for a Kiss
It is so sweet to watch this relationship develop.

A Friend for Anna
Anna was very curious about baby Ethan the other day. She kept smiling at him and wanted to touch his hair and toes.

Another Puddle
I went to pick Max up at Gymnastics and found him by his cubby, surrounded by several other kids, sobbing uncontrollably. When I asked him what was wrong he said, " I am going to miss my new best friend in the orange shirt (7 year old girl)."
Last week I had to take Anna in for a spontaneous doctor appointment
because of a rash and when we were all done Max asked, "Mommy, did Anna
check out?"
This weekend Peter was getting ready to take the kids to Fresh Market
when Max comes to ask me, "Mommy, we are going to the Fresh Market,
would you like me to get you some flowers?"
Parent Tea
The kids invited Anna and I to a little end of year program designed to thank parents for their contributions throughout the year and recognize the successful completion of the school year. The kids were so excited and had been talking about their songs and art work for weeks. They kept reminding me that they were going to be on stage, singing very loudly, and I was going to be there to watch them of course. They popped right out of bed that morning, eager to get ready for preschool. The two-year olds sang two songs and then received their certificates. Kate
sang so loudly and exaggerated her movements more than ever before - so
cute. Max was so proud to be on stage, sang the songs and gave me a little wave from the stage.
After the performance, we enjoyed snacks, talking with their teachers and friends and finding their art projects. Kate named her water color project "Boom" and Max
named his "The Turtle" - I think the names say a lot about their unique personalities! :)
We have had such a wonderful experience at Good Hope. The teachers and
director have been more than exceptional and accommodating. The
programs were all so well organized and thoughtful. I felt that my kids
grew a lot this year all the while feeling loved and respected. This year exceeded my vision for my childrens' first year of
preschool and I feel very blessed to be involved with such a wonderful
community.

Happy Birthday Emma
We celebrated Emma's 3rd birthday with a dinosaur themed party! Emma LOVES and knows everything about all dinosaurs - it is impressive! Aunt Liz did an exceptional job on the dinosaur cake. The kids could not have had more fun. There was painting, pool time, sand, bubbles, a parachute...you name it, it was outside! The kids had a blast!
