Big Brother and Sister Visit

Kate and Max met Baby Anna today.  It was such a sweet experience.

Kate wanted to hold Anna the minute she walked through the door.  She kept kissing, hugging, and petting her very gently.

Max asked to hold Anna twice and was quick to give her kisses and fix her hat.

We are thrilled to announce Anna May was born October 28, 2011 at 9:31am.  She is a perfect 5lb 10oz and 18in long.  She is named in honor of her Great-Grandmother.  We are in an absolute state of bliss!

 

One More Time

Tonight was our last night as a family of four! We talked a lot about the baby being born.  Max explains it like this, "Mommy go to hospital, baby come out of your tummy." Kate checked my tummy with a stethoscope and said, "I check baby's heartbeat, boom-boom, boom-boom, baby OK! Baby come out of Mommy's tummy. I carry baby!"  I can hardly wait to see their faces when they actually meet Baby K.

Fresh Air

The kids had the BEST time at the park.  They both made new friends. Max could not wait to tell me he played with the boys and shared with the girls.  Kate was very proud of herself for sharing her fishies with the older girls and then they played with her.

I think this sort of free play outside is the absolute best!

A Little Like Maine

Mimi and Pop-Pop have a favorite spot in Cary they like to take the kids when the weather is right - Bond Park.  They spend most of the time at the water's edge playing with the boats, feeding the ducks and geese, and watching kids fish.

Distractions

Mimi and Yelena said the kids needed to be kept busy Thursday while we were at the hospital... so they headed to Marbles for a super fun morning!

A Little Longer

The amnio results indicated that Baby Girl's lungs were not mature enough to warrant a premature delivery.  Fortunately, I get to continue my life of luxury at home with my children and wonderful husband.  We will try again in a week, October 28!

36 Weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We can hardly believe we have made it!!!  We are so excited about all that is about to change in our lives.  We are eager to meet our little girl, kiss her, cuddle her, dress her, hold her, adore all her little parts, feed her, introduce her to Max and Kate, bring her home, embrace all those "firsts"... and most of all love her forever!!!
