Controlled Mess!!!

First day of rain in forever so I pulled out the paint sets!

Kate enjoyed using her fingers and repeating the colors as I said them OVER AND OVER!

Max thought the painting was fun for a few minutes until he realized he could open and close the paint container INDEFINITELY...!!!

Belfast, Maine

We enjoyed a perfect long weekend in Belfast, Maine with Grammy and Pop-Pop Kranz! We had an amazing time, the kids played so hard, the weather was perfectly Maine, and we ate a lot of good lobster! A few highlights!

We spent our last afternoon with Lana at Roanoke Park in Raleigh for a picnic lunch and play time. The kids adore their Auntie Lana!

Bling for the Blog

And a little more...
Lana and Charles are returning to New Zealand at the end of the month. :( No dates have been set at this time but they are considering either July 2011 or November 2011. They want an intimate gathering of close friends and family at a destination not yet selected. This week's flavor has been Costa Rica!!! The week before anywhere in the Caribbean! It is going to be so beautiful, full of memorable moments, and the beginning of a lifetime of happiness.
I CAN NOT WAIT!!!

Lana and Charles are Engaged!

GOOD NEWS
Lana and Charles are engaged!!! Fun engagement in New Zealand then Lana got the most beautiful diamond IN MY CAR! Lots of screaming and tears involved!
Short history of diamond - Charles' grandmother traveled the world in search of antique jewelry. One of her missions was to find a perfect diamond for each of her grandsons...She accomplished her mission well!

Kate and Max were infatuated with Charles because there is nothing Charles would not do over and over again!



Max shared his passie with Lana.

Lana taught Max how to eat his first apple!

FAMILY!

What a fantastic week full of family from several generations. The whole week was inspired by Lana and Charles who are visiting the States for the month. Aunt Sue and Grandma Adam decided this would be a perfect time to come visit all three of us in one spot. Liz and Emma hop-skipped-jumped from Greensboro. We had the best time reminiscing, eating, drinking, playing with the kids, shedding a few (happy) tears, going out to lunch, shopping, enjoying the perfect weather, and just being together.

We hit the mall for lunch, a little shopping, and time in the play zone! Gram is a super shopper - pushing kids while purchasing a new purse!
